PINPTHANE is a casted polyurethane elastomer with a low compression set, outstanding abrasion resistance, and excellent physical properties. PINPTHANE is in the sealing industry mainly used for U-rings, wipers, and V-packings, but also for elastomer springs, dampers, and engineered parts. Parts made of PINPTHANE can be used in mineral oil, water, and biodegradable hydraulic fluids up to 60° and as a single-sealing material for pressures up to 400 bar in standard applications. Depending on the seal design and tolerances of the installation housing, seals made of PINPTHANE can perform extensively higher pressure applications.
